A New Year Begins

Hello my dear sweet friends -

I just wanted to wish each and every one of you a HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  I wish you joy, peace, happiness and lots of love.

This is my last post for 2012 and to be honest I am so excited for 2013.  I just keep hoping and praying things will get better.  I won't go into all the details at this moment in time however I have really been sick the past two weeks and I feel like I am behind on everything in my life.  I have a lot of decisions to make and lots to share in 2013.  I will go into more detail later this week but for now -

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
There are so many possibilities and I am looking forward to every one of them.
Until tomorrow

Challenge 41 - Tammy's Scrappin Corner

Hello dear sweet friends

Happy Monday!!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  It's been insane at my place.  Lots of doctor appointments (finally) but still not feeling very well (several migraines) and exhausted.  Man oh man - something has to give - way to many life changes right now.  Is it just me or is time flying by at warp speed?

On a more positive note my sister is finally better and is heading back to work this morning.  It's been kind of nice having her home and being able to spend a little more time with her.

Well this weeks challenge with Tammy's Scrappin Corner is "Anything Goes".   Our sponsors this week are:
Eureka Stamps

Doodle Dragon Studio

The design team has some wonderful inspiration this week and the links to their blogs on listed on the right side of my side bar.  So jump in ladies and show us what you got this week.  There are some great prizes for the winners and I am excited to see what you create.

I had so much fun creating this card using this…

Challenge #44 - Anything Goes - Tuesday Alchemy

Hello again my super sweet friends and Happy Happy Tuesday!!  Hope you are doing well - it sure is quiet in blog land.  I helped my sister get all the Christmas packages wrapped and it feels great to have that part behind us.
Today's Challenge with Tuesday Alchemy is Anything Goes and I decided to shake things up a little bit.  More about my project in a moment because I want to share we have a terrific sponsor this week and the winner will receive their choice of 4 digital images from:

Challenge 15 - Twist of Faith

Happy Tuesday my sweet friends -

It's time for another challenge at Twist of Faith.  This weeks challenge is all about creating a card inspired by your favorite Christmas Carol.  Our sponsor this week is Meljens Designs and she is giving the lucky winner their choice of 4 uncolored images.

I love her images and I absolutely fell in love with this little snowman.  As soon as I saw this snowman looking up at star in the sky I thought of how peaceful the scene was and it made me think of "Silent Night" which is one of my favorite Christmas Carols.

I'm not 100% happy with how my card turned out - there are some  details I would like to have done differently.  I want there to be a little less bling in the sky so the background appears a little more peaceful and not so busy.  I am going to make another one and add it to this post a little later today.  I really do love this image and want my final card to really show case how I picture it in my mind. Probably sounds a li…

I used a design from QKR Stampede called "Elf riding on a Christmas Tree Bulb" and I think he is adorable.

I wish I had been able to take a better picture - sometimes it looks like the background is gold instead of a green.  I added rhinestones all …

I made a small altered album this week.  Actually it was a special order for a young lady who wanted to give her hubby a little something something extra for their wedding anniversary.  She wanted it to be simple and with no fluff.  It was hard letting this one go - I really like it and wanted to keep it for myself.  Isn't that horrible?  :-)
This is a chipboard album and I cut out each pi…

Twist of Faith Challenge #13 - Blue Skies
It was a little challenging deciding which cute little bear to use from her new digital stamp set called New Little Bear Winter Fun.

I really love this background paper and just had to use it again with this card.  It makes a fun background and I can add glimmer and bling.  I colored the sweet little bear with Copics and created a snow border around the quote and on the hat.  And of course - the sn…

We have two great sponsors this week and they are:

QKR Stampede

I had "snow" much fun making this card.  It sure took a while to put it all together but I fell in love with this image from BugABoo the minute I saw it.  His name is "Eggbert" and Eggbert stole my heart.  My goal for this card was to create as many different textures as possible.  I used some pom poms to create the snowballs.  I created the snow and then added a row of snowflake lace along the bottom…

Altered Coasters

Hello dear sweet friends - Happy happy Tuesday!!

This week's challenge #41 at Tuesday Alchemy is "Anything but a Card".  Our design team has some great inspiration and you can peek at all their projects on their personal blogs.  Our amazing sponsors this week are:

Sassy Studio Designs and Birdie Brown Etsy Shop
I found some old ceramic coasters at a thrift store a long time ago.  Thought this would be a great project for this weeks challenge and the perfect time to turn them into something new.

All I did was cover the coasters in various cardstocks, stamped swirly images around the edges and fun sayings in the middle of each.  They were all sealed for extra protection.

It's a quick and easy project plus a dear friend of mine loves them and wants them for her office at work.  Makes me happy they have found a new happy home.  So please jump in and join us this week and can't wait to see what you create.

Have a blessed week!
